JSON WORKSPACE
CSV to JSON
Convert strict delimited records to JSON strings.
Input is processed on this site only when you run the tool. The application does not save inputs or results.
input.txt
Result result.json
A little clarity goes here.
Run the tool to see your result.
Result preview
UTF-8 text, at most 65536 bytes per input. Tab leaves the editor. Plain text disables syntax colors. Browser textareas may normalize line endings to LF.

A familiar workflow,
with room to focus.
Paste comma, semicolon or tab-delimited text.
Use unique nonempty first-row headers, or generated column names.
Convert to records whose values are all strings.
When to use CSV to JSON
Turn a known comma, semicolon or tab-delimited fixture into JSON records without automatic number or date guessing.
Read the result
Every field remains a string, including leading zeros. Choose the correct delimiter and header mode; rectangular rows and strict quote rules are required.

Expected result
[{"name":"Example","count":"001"},{"name":"Second","count":"2"}]{"kind":"table","title":"2 records converted","columns":["name","count"],"rows":[["Example","001"],["Second","2"]],"total":2,"note":"Table preview; copy\/download retains the complete JSON result and string values.","copyRaw":true,"schema":1}Formats, limits and common errors
Check delimiter, headers, quote escaping and the number of cells in every row.
- Strict quotes: quoted fields start with a quote, embedded quotes double, and no extra data follows a closing quote. LF/CRLF record endings; quoted newlines are retained. No bare CR outside quotes, NUL, BOM or inferred dialect.
- At most 1,000 data rows, 64 columns and 10,000 cells. Rows must be rectangular. Empty input yields []; a trailing record separator adds no phantom row.
- No automatic numeric, boolean, null or date conversion. Leading zeros and formula-like text remain strings; importing JSON does not neutralize formulas for future spreadsheet exports.
- Input: 65,536 UTF-8 bytes per text field. Output: at most 524,288 UTF-8 bytes; serialized responses have a separate 1 MiB ceiling. Size/work failures return no partial result.
