Interface preferences

Local storage keeps optional interface preferences: balodia-ui-theme remembers light/dark appearance, and balodia-ui-wrap remembers editor wrapping. The application has no account-session or tool-history cookie.

Preference values contain no submitted tool text or results. They remain until changed or cleared by you or your browser; there is no application expiry timer. Storage can be unavailable, in which case preferences may not persist.

Automatic Google Analytics cookies

Production public pages load Google Analytics 4 automatically for site improvement, without an on-site consent banner or opt-out control. The tag uses the balodia_tools cookie prefix and host-only cookies for tools.balodia.com, so it does not intentionally share an analytics cookie with Tech or another subdomain. Google receives analytics data as described in Privacy.

The tag requests a one-year cookie lifetime without extending it on every page load; session-related cookie lifetimes and browser rules can differ. Browser deletion or blocking can shorten retention, and clearing a cookie does not delete analytics already received by Google. Google Analytics property-level data retention and provider processing are separate from this cookie lifetime.

Advertising storage, advertising user data, personalization and Google signals are disabled in our tag configuration. Our analytics events exclude submitted input, output, options, search text and generated secrets. Your controls

Change appearance and wrapping with the workspace controls. To remove saved preferences, use your browser’s site-data settings for tools.balodia.com. Blocking local storage may prevent preferences being remembered but does not create a tool-content history.

Copy and Download use explicit browser actions. Browser clipboard, downloaded files, extensions and browser history are controlled separately by your browser or device. Clearing this site’s preferences does not delete a downloaded file or securely erase clipboard content.

Infrastructure and changes

Hosting or security infrastructure can behave separately from the application. We do not claim that application preference controls manage provider logs, network records or any infrastructure cookie; these are separate from local storage.

Privacy explains server-side handling. If storage behavior changes, this page and the policy date will be updated, with any additional controls required by applicable law. Contact contact@balodia.com with questions.
